Elan impression 35
I always seek for Elan boats in Adriatic. Somehow it makes sense, there was a time when probably most of them were there only. The last time I´ve took Elan 38 - Zaglav (built in 1993) to get the experience. It was a heavy, tough little yacht with genoa and strong motor. Adventourous in strong wing with a small navigation in salloon and big maps on the table. When I was alone and needed to go down for position, the autopilot made circles in may speed behind my back, while sailing "near to the wind). ... ...this time it was different. Much smaller and quiet new ship. All functioned, all ready. Preety slick while heeling, but very good and stable on side winds (ran 9,5kts from 19kts wind - when I got wind speed warning on navigation app)...ship was not shaking at all and safely drifted under sails. All crew was happy with warm and tight sail in more and more increasing wind. This is a small family ship, for nice shorter trips, maneuverable in ports when mouring between heavy metal fishermen ships precisely. Easy and nice boat. Keel is interesting, too short with a heavy rocket at the end. Elan Impression is good, but next time we go larger. Enjoy. And at the end, I appreciate the mowt very relaxed and very kind team in Marina Kaštela. It was very friendly evertime you get in touch with them. Good luck.
